On Saturday 9/24/2022, the Red Bank Fire Department participated in a large-scale simulated drill at the invitation of NJ Transit and the Office of Emergency Management.

From NJ Transit Police:

The New Jersey Transit Police Department hosted a multi-agency emergency drill at the Navesink River Bridge in Red Bank.⁣

This full-scale emergency drill included marine operations and a complex rescue and response scenario. Together, our police department and additional first responders worked together to aid and rescue simulated victims. The simulated victims included approximately 100 volunteer participants.⁣ Emergency drills help to test response capabilities and strengthen working relationships needed during a real emergency.⁣

The NJTPD Office of Emergency Management (OEM) played an integral role in conducting this drill. Our thanks to every agency and volunteer who participated. This includes the Red Bank Fire Dept, Red Bank Police Dept, Red Bank OEM, Middletown Fire Dept, Middletown Police Dept, Middletown EMS, Little Silver Fire Dept, Little Silver EMS, JFK EMS, Monmouth County Sheriff’s Dept OEM, Monmouth County Fire Marshall, Hackensack Meridian Health, NJ TRANSIT Rail Operations, and the Federal Railroad Administration.⁣
